1)I was trying to capture the intense height of the buildings in New York.
2)There was no message I was trying to convey in this image only that I wanted it to be a minimalist shot. 3)The way I did this was I changed my camera settings where it would bring more light into the lens to get rid of the blue in the sky so the building would be the only focus in the shot. 4)What I like about this image is the composition on the image and how I was able to get the entire building in the photo showcasing it's height while also doing a good take on minimalism. 5)What I don't like about this image is that at the top of the building the image because a little fuzzy and out of focus. 7)This has a personal connection to me in how it was taken on a trip which is basically a hobby to me. I'm always travelling somewhere whether it be 21 hours from here or 3. 1)In this photo I was trying to capture my friends in a candid shot but it didn't work out as planned because one of the models ended up looking at the camera
2)The message I was trying to convey was that friendship and happiness are key in life. 3)How I attempted to convey this message was trying to highlight them as the main focus. I did this by zooming in on them to get them to fill the frame as much as possible. 4)What I like about this image is how casual the models looked. While it was a supposed to be candid turned not, it still looks to be as a relaxed and natural scene. 5)What I don't like about this image is that I neglected in getting rid of some of the light coming into the lens so there is some white spots in the background where there was too much light. 6)This is personally connected to me as these two models are my friends. 1)I was trying to capture the city of New York from a skyline view with the image appearing to go far back into the horizon.
2)The message I was trying to convey was the business and crowdedness of buildings in New York City. 3)How I attempted to convey this message was using a portrait take on the image to get the full height of all the buildings as well as making the buildings look more crammed together with using a portrait angle instead of landscape. 4)What I like best about this image is the sky. I like how this photo worked great for the way I wanted to edit it in Photoshop. 5)What I don't like about this image is that there is a little glare form the glass in front of me since this picture had to be taken with a window blocking the view a little. 6)This photo's personal connection to me is that it was a school related trip. There is nothing I like more than being able to travel to places I've wanted to go to and it's even better that it was during school. 1)I was trying to capture the Harry Potter book as the main focus.
2)There was no initial message other than the fact that Harry Potter is my favorite book and movie series. 3)The way I accomplished this was by making it the focus of the image and having the background blurred and out of focus, bringing the book into focus more. 4)What I like about this image is the very vibrant colors. The red look really well with the blurred green background. They contrast each other and works well together. 5)What I don't like about this photo is that even though I was able to crop this photo a little bit, I don't like that the book is still too close to being in the exact middle of the image. 6)This is personally connected to me as it is my favorite book that I read. 1)I was trying to capture my friend in a sort of candid shot.
2)The message I was trying to convey was silliness and happiness in a somewhat candid moment. 3)I did this in having the composition where she was the one in shot and off to the side a little bit to give more space to the photo. The background which is bright and vibrant helps gives the vibe of happiness as well. 4)What I like about this photo is the vibrancy of it and how the colors work well together. 5)What I don't like about it is that the person on the side got her arm in the shot so it is a little distracting. 6)This is personally connected to me as the model is another friend of mine in school. |
1) I was trying to capture a very professional and delicate portrait of the model.
2)The message I was trying to convey was beauty. 3)To get this message shown I used a dark background that would not distract any attention from the model. I also used professional lighting to give subtle hints to her facial structure. 4)What I like about this photo is how in focus she is. I was able to get every feature of her face in focus and it turned out really nice. 5)What I don't like as much is the massive shadow on her shoulder because of her arm being extended. 6)The personal connection I have to this photo is that the model is one of my greatest friends. 1) I was trying to capture one of the keys in the art installation as well as the quote that is tied to it.
2)The message I was trying to convey was the message that is shown on the paper tied to the key. I wanted that to be the main focus and importance of the image while also highlighting the key itself. 3)I did this by taking a photo where there is depth, so the background would be out of focus, bringing more attention to the key and quote. 4)What I like about this photo is how focused I got on both the key and the quote. 5)What I don't like is the overhead light that is on the ceiling. It is distracting to me. 6)The personal connection this has to be is that it is an art installation that is set up in the school that I attend. 1)I was trying to capture the model in a scene that is normally natural but is also posed.
2)There was no message I was trying to compose really. I was however trying to show the model in his natural state and unnatural state at the same time, meaning he normally fixes his hair with his hand but he doesn't normally look dramatically to the side while doing so. 3)In order to get this view I took the shot from a low angle to put more focus on his upper body, i.e his arm, hand, face and hair. I also did the low angle to get rid of distractions in the image. I used a depth of field to get the background out of focus, accentuating the model and what he is doing. 4)What I like about this image is the angling that I did. I normally don't do photos from a down angle but it turned out nice to me. 5)What I don't like about this image is that part of the sky to the right is a little too overexposed. 6)This has a personal connection to me because it he is a fellow schoolmate of mine. 1)I was trying to capture the model in a normal, happy looking portrait.
2)The message I was trying to convey was that the model had just finished a snowball fight or playing in the school. 3)In order to do this I had sprinkled some snow onto the models head to add some extra effect and prop. As well, I had taken the photo at an angle where it faced the ground more than the horizon so the snow on the ground would show and then that, including the snow on the head would give the message I wanted shown. 4)What I like about this image is how the message is pretty clear, at least to me it is. 5)What I don't like about this photo is how zoomed in it is on the model. Instead, I should've exposed his shoulders into the shot a little more. 6)This photo is personally connected to me as the model is my brother. 1)I was trying to capture the bouquet of pink flowers and the brightness of them
2)The message of this image was the beauty of nature. 3)By doing this I composed the photo to be only on the flowers. I made sure there were no distractions such as a person blurred in the background or an orange because the focus of the photo had to be the flowers and it's beauty alone. 4)What I like about this photo is how I was able to get two of the flowers purely in focus, highlighting the front one the most. 5)What I don't like is that there is one flower that is in the front that is blurred out and not focused. 6)This is personally connected to me as I love nature and love taking photos of nature. It is a hobby of mine. |
